The “Defenestrations of Prague” were significant events in Czech history where political and religious leaders were thrown out the window in protest to their policies. The performance links defenestration and defloration, as a relationship between inside and outside, intimate and public, birth and death, violence and love. The performer used frame of the window, through which she walks, moving freely in the space. The turning of the frame window evokes a jump-rope, but in a slow, ponderous shot. The performance is accompanied by the sound of breaking glass.
